Established 1899 Carlow is a set in a wild deerpark with elevated tees, excellent dog legs and slick putting surfaces. There are many long par 4s and the 18th is the most spectacular finishing hole in Ireland. Sandy subsoil makes Carlow playable twelve months of the year and the course is invariably in good condition.

Its qualities are further enhanced by the water hazards at the 2nd, 10th and 11th. A relatively short course, there are only two par 5s - one of which is the 18th....

Oughterard Golf Club is situated on N59 adjacent to the 15th-century Aughnanure Castle, 15 miles west of Galway city en route to Connemara. It is a delightful eighteen-hole course, excellently maintained for the discerning golfer. Mature trees demand thought and accuracy from the tee, and elevated greens require precision and patience.
